Help abandoned senior dogs like Dandy... Donate today!

"Hi, Friend, I’m Dandy — the one-eyed Senior dog. You wouldn’t know it by the smile on my face but I have a broken scapula from being hit by a car and a disease called luxating patellae (sliding knee caps) which makes it hard for me to get around. I was recently rescued and cleaned up and am now looking for my forever home."

If Dandy could talk I know this is what he would say. This poor old guy was found abandoned at a local grocery store. His fur was matted all the way to the skin. When our Program Partner received the call that he was hanging around the store with no one looking after him, she quickly picked him up and brought him in to give him the care he desperately needed.

Friend, will you help provide food and supplies for cats and dogs like Dandy?

No cat or dog should be abandoned - especially a senior who has a hard time getting around.

November is Adopt-a-Senior-Pet Month. We want to spread the word about how wonderful these senior dogs can be.

Obviously, caring for a senior pet with health issues is challenging, so we truly appreciate our Program Partners and their foster families. It is not easy, but very rewarding.

With your help, ROAR wants to provide foster care kits to every homeless animal like Dandy struggling to survive on reservations we serve. Each foster care kit encourages a potential foster family by supplying them with the necessary supplies their new "house guest" needs. Kits include items like food, blankets, bowls, treats, and toys.

Would you please make a gift today to bring comfort to one of the hundreds of cats and dogs like Dandy who need our help?

Sincerely, Dr. Carol H. Holgate, DVM, ROAR Chairperson
