Eagle Shield Senior Center Director Connie Bremner oversaw the delivery of food for 400 at the Center last week. "They take in donations from throughout the nation to do this," she said of the American Indian Relief Council that sent the meals.

If you live in Starr School, Babb or St. Mary, do not come into the center. Your bag will be delivered to you. The same goes for those of you who live at Blackfoot, Meriwether or Seville. Do not come in. Yours will also be delivered.

Browning area people can come in on Thursday, Nov. 19, and Friday, Nov. 20, starting at 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. to pick up your food.

If you are uncertain about your status, call 338-7257 and we will let you know. Heart Butte area residents will have their own give-out.

Helen Oliff NRC wrote on Nov 12, 2009 1:41 PM: " AIRC is a program of National Relief Charities. Over the last 5 years or so, Connie has worked with NRC programs to bring community events, bulk distributions, and Christmas to Browning. We are happy now to help her bring 400 Thanksgiving meals to the community. Through our AIRC program, we are also working with other partners to provide Thanksgiving meals for over 5,000 Elders and their families on 25 reservations in the northern Plains. Connie and all of our partners and donors made this possible, and we thank you. "
