Strong, Self-Sufficient Native American Communities
Programs: Emergency Each winter, anticipating that the ENCs may close due to severe weather, SNRF provides some emergency food packages, which are distributed to Elders to have on hand during a storm.

Our emergency food boxes are delivered to our ENC partners for distribution to Elders in October, January and February, ensuring food is on hand when weather is harsh and food may otherwise be inaccessible. (Food is provided in other ways throughout the year.)

Full of essentials, our winter emergency boxes include blankets, gloves, hats, candles, flashlights, batteries, non-perishable food and water, ensuring Elder care during a winter storm. We distribute these goods through our partners at Elder Nutrition Centers (ENCs).
